Rainy Day

Start of the holidays and it is rainy and cold. Perfect, we are forced to stay indoors, read; play games and watch some movies & not feel guilty.
Whilst kids were busy having quiet time, I was able to spend some time making a new cushion & assemble a quilt which is the perfect size to used as a play rug or little blanket to take anywhere & keep bub snug:-

The only low part of the past few days is my little man is not well, high fevers; bad cough; head ache & runny nose. Not his happy little self!

What do you do on rainy, cold days with kids?

  1. I hope your little one gets better soon a nice sunny day would be great medicine to get. It's awful weather isn't it at the moment but the girls are happy here today inside watching movies in their pj's and not doing much at all really. Enjoy your rainy day today, cross fingers it doesn't last too long. x

  2. Love your patchwork Nicole. Hope your little man is feeling better soon. We do the same as you when it's raining. Also baking and when they were little I'd set up a little obstacle course. I'd put an old cot mattress out for them to do somersaults on and we had a mini tramp. I would also put a sheet over the table to create a cubby and they'd put all their teddies in there. Lego, puzzles....I'd better stop now. Have fun. xxoo

  3. Lots of toys on the carpet, a tent with loads of pillows, little bowls fun of snacks and of course music, always music. Me i make soup and sew or crochet and interact when needed. I love the patchwork pillow. I opted an old cane chair last week, i did plan to make a cushion, but on a trip to IKEA yesterday I bought an embroidered one, it is so soft. Now i have read your blog, you have shamed me into heading off to my sewing room today. I sm your new follower. I lovevto sew crochet, knit, all that crafty stuff. I also love renovating houses. I have nearly completed renovating my fibro beach shack. I do hope you pop on over and say hello. I have a giveaway until tuesday. Have a lovely weekend

    1. Hello thanks for stopping by my blog. Sorry for my late reply, my little boy was sick last week so my time was taken up with caring for him. Sounds like we have a lot of common interests. I have an ambition to learn knitting & crochet. My eldest daughter knits, maybe she can teach me. Will pop over to your blog & say hi. Have a great week ahead. Nx
